About Me.
Hello, my name is Mahala Plant and I'm the owner of The Renaissance Soul's Journey. Here's a bit about my formal training and what brought me to developing my mediumship abilities.
I'm from Lloydminster and when I had graduated from high school I started studying right away for a bachelor of science in nursing undergraduate degree. I graduated in 2019 and became a registered nurse soon after. I worked on multiple different floors, but a few to note are the covid floor and maternal care. My journey to becoming a medium and reiki practitioner began in 2023 when I was pregnant with my first son. I had developed PTSD from working on the covid floor when I worked there and was experiencing even more anxiety while pregnant. I knew that my life could not continue as it was. I was doing everything prescribed to me through the medical field but I was not feeling entirely better.
I listened to my inner knowing to learn about spirituality and saw my first medium right after my first son was born. This is when everything changed for me. I had a light bulb moment and I was able to see a path forward. I started to really develop my intuition and trust that whatever I felt drawn to was right for me. I took my Holy Fire Usui Reiki levels I & II and I felt like I was absolutely on the right path to truly learning who I was, and healing from the trauma that I had experienced throughout my life. Reiki changed my life in a way that I can not simply explain in words. I continued on my spiritual journey over the next three years taking mediumship levels 1, 2, and 3. I am now a practicing reiki and mediumship practitioner. I utilize the tools that this beautiful life has gifted me with along with my training and provide private sessions and courses to help you move forward in your own life.
What does 'The Renaissance Soul' mean?
Renaissance: a french word meaning "rebirth". For me, the term renaissance soul symbolizes my path of learning who I am on a soul level as well the continuation of that path towards my soul's calling. Renaissance soul is often defined as a person who has a wide range of passions and callings. This is very true to me and you will see my business evolve as I do; with no set or rigid rules that I must follow. This is because I go where I feel called and I honour my soul by following what is most aligned in each season of my life. Flowing with what passions my soul feels called to explore is how I can show up as my most authentic self for you, as my clients and customers.

This training changed how I saw the world. Reiki is a technique used to reduce stress and promote relaxation. Reiki is a form of energy healing that can improve the live's of the recipient immensly. I use this training on myself, on my family, on my dog, on my friends, and of course for my clients. If you haven't experienced reiki, it is like no other modality. It is truly remarkable.

Describing mediumship in one short paragraph is nearly impossible. Mediumship at it's most basic level is being a channel between realms of existance. I can channel from passed loved ones as well as your spirit guides. But I can also channel frequencies, messages, and energy from the universe. I can intuitively provide healing because spirit has shown me exactly where you need it and what mesages are attached to it. I can viscerally feel what you feel through mediumship, I can receive guidance and healing for you and so much more.
